NSAC says Tito Ortiz gets $250,000 (no win bonus possible) for tonight. Fellow co-headliner Forrest Griffin gets $100,000 to show and an additional $150,000 as a win bonus if he's victorious.


JASON DENT VS. GEORGE SOTIROPOULOS

Round 1

After a touch of gloves, Sotiropoulos opens with a couple quick jabs. Dent then checks a head kick and pushes forward until backed up by a few shots from his opponent. The fighters are just testing their range early on. Sotiropoulos rushes in to try to clinch but eats a couple punches and is forced to back out. Nice uppercut from Dent before Sotiropoulos throws a head kick that Dent brushes off. Dent lands a nice jab, but Sotiropoulos answers with a right to the body. The fighters trade straight punches. A nice pace keeps the crowd entertained. Sotiropoulos with a nice right to the belly. Sotiropoulos finally shoots and takes down Dent, postures up to land a punch and then hops into half guard. Sotiropoulos delivers some punches and moves into side control. He patiently works for position and tries to take Dent's back during an escape attempt. Sotiropoulos wraps him up and pins him back to the mat, takes mount, takes his back, and then reclaims mount when Dent rolls over. Sotiropoulos unloads some vicious shots with forearms and elbows that causes the referee to issue a warning for Dent to fight back. With 10 seconds to go, Dent throws some punches from his back but eats a barrage just as the round ends. Dent survived, but Sotiropoulos takes the round easily, 10-9.

Round 2

Dent lands an inside leg kick to one of Sotiropoulos' braced knees. Sotiropoulos, though, stalks as Dent circles the cage. Dent lands a nice overhand right that draws ooohs from the crowd. The fighters again trade jabs in the center of the cage, and Dent no longer seems worried about a takedown. However, Sotiropoulos catches a kick and sweeps Dent's other leg out form under him to put him on his back. Sotiropoulos gets half guard and scrambles for side mount. Dent tries to escape and gives up his back in the process. Sotiropoulos clings to him and tries to lock in his hooks, but Dent rolls free and pulls his opponent back into half guard. Sotiropoulos, though, moves into half guard and then the north-south position. Sotiropoulos can do little but tea bag his opponent, and the fight goes back to their feet. Sotiropoulos, though, quickly takes it back to the mat, secures mount, and rains down shots. Dent pulls him close to avoid damage, but Sotiropoulos postures up again and then grabs an arm looking for the armbar. He rolls Dent over and tries to torque the hold, but Dent hangs strong. Sotiropoulos, though, locks in his legs and finally forces the tapout. Great fight overall and good win for Sotiropoulos that earns nice applause from the half-full crowd. George Sotiropoulos def. FABRICIO CAMOES VS. CAOL UNO

Round 1

Who likes short shorts? Caol Uno does. He touches gloves with a better-covered Camoes, and we're underway with another lightweight bout. Camoes strikes first with a face kick that snaps Uno awake. More slap than anything, but it sounded good. Uno closes the distance and pulls guard, and Camoes slaps on a choke as Uno gets to his feet. He lets go and fires a body kick as Uno stands. Camoes backs away and then comes in with a right hand that lands. He then drags Uno to the mat and frees a leg into half guard. Camoes stands over his opponent and looks to dive. He does with a big right hand that just misses, and Uno gets to his feet. Camoes throws a right and misses, but he grabs Uno around the neck from behind and drags him to the mat and takes his back. Camoes gets his hooks in and looks for the rear-naked choke. It looks over, but Uno escapes and gets to his feet with a round of applause. The fighters return to the center of the cage, and Camoes looks a bit winded. After a clinch, Camoes goes high with a knee to the body, and Uno simply shoves him to the mat and into the cage. Uno works from the top as Camoes is trapped against the fence in a seated position. Camoes ties up his opponent to avoid damage, but Uno finally creates some separation and delivers a flurry of forearms and hammerfists before Camoes ties him up again. Camoes waits out the round from the position. It's a close one with Camoes winning the first part and Uno the second part. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Camoes largely on the near-successful submission attempt.

Round 2

Uno lands a leg kick but is forced to retreat when Camoes backs him up with punches and kicks to the leg. Camoes scores a big overhand right and then misses a trip but secures a slick suplex to take the fight to the mat. Uno, though, easily reverses the position, and the fight is halted when Camoes delivers a series of kicks to the head of his downed opponent. The ref issues a one-point deduction, but Uno is ready to continue from his top position. Uno gets careless and nearly gets caught in an armbar before breaking free of the hold. Camoes, though, isn't finished and looks for a leg, rolls over, nearly hits Uno again with an illegal kick and then gets to his feet. Once there, Camoes unloads some punches, and the crowd yells their approval. Camoes, though, closes the distance and takes the fight to the mat. Uno, though, easily reverses the position again. Camoes works the butterfly guard from his back before moving to full guard and pulling Uno close. Uno looks to pass guard as Camoes looks to trap an arm. Neither succeeds, but Uno frees a leg. Camoes, though, negates all possible offense and pulls Uno close. Uno backs away, and the fighters return to their feet and trade knees from the clinch before the round sounds. It's a close round, but MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Uno (and 10-8 with the one-point deduction.)

Round 3

The fighters trade leg kicks as we enter the final frame. Camoes barely misses on a combination, but Uno immediately charges back in for a punch to the body. But when he follows with a kick to the midsection, Camoes pops him with a right hand. Uno closes the distance and pushes Camoes into the cage, and Camoes looks to control his opponent's wrist. Camoes then lands a nice elbow to the temple on the break. Back to the center of the cage, Camoes checks a leg kick and knocks Uno off balance and onto his pooper. Uno then ducks under a right as he gets back to his feet. Both fighters smile at the exchange. After a clinch, Uno works for position and then takes Camoes to the mat. Working from guard, Uno can do little with the position as Camoes pulls him in tight. Uno frees a leg before Camoes pulls him back into full guard, and the pace slows. Uno finally stands to drop a right hand to the chest before diving back into guard. Camoes grabs a foot and torques Uno's leg, but he has to give it up when Uno moves into side control. He then moves into the north-south position and looks for the armbar. Camoes, though, sniffs it out and defends. Uno delivers a barrage of punches as Camoes tries to get back to his feet to assure he takes the round. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Uno, though this fight could very well be scored a draw. Caol Uno vs. Fabricio Camoes declared majority draw (29-27, 28-28, 28-28).

BRIAN FOSTER VS. BROCK LARSON

Round 1

Little action early as the fighters circle. After 35 seconds, Foster lands the first shot with a right hand and then pushes Larson into the cage. The fighters jockey for position and break to restart. Larson shoots and grabs a leg, pushes Foster into the mat, and then scoops him up and takes him to the canvas. With Foster pressed against the cage, Larson looks to pass guard from the standing position and moves into side control. With little room to work, though, Foster puts his back against the cage and works his way to his feet, and Larson scores punches to the body. Foster, though, takes Larson to the mat and unloads a quick flurry of punches before standing over him and raining down big blows from the top. A dozen shots have landed loudly, and a right hand clips Larson on the chin. Foster dives in for side control and then moves into mount and unloads a barrage of punches. Foster stands to regroup and tries to dive in with an overhand right. Larson, though, kicks his way free, but while Foster is on his knees, Larson lands an illegal kick to the face. Time is called, and Foster has a possible eye injury. The doctor comes in to check it out. Referee Yves Lavigne issues a one-point deduction before we restart. A quick flurry leaves both fighters jockeying for position, and Larson gets Foster in a head lock. However, Foster is in the three-point stance, and the knees to the head are illegal. Another point deduction for Larson just as the round ends. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Foster, and with the point deductions, he takes the round 10-7.

Round 2

Larson looks ticked as the round gets started and is still steaming from the second point deduction. Foster backs him into the cage and just misses with a one-two combination. Foster lands a Superman punch as Larson charges in. Larson tries to shake it off, but his right eye is really starting to swell. Foster lands a low kick, and Larson is obviously now on the defensive during the stand-up exchanges. Foster lands a sweet spinning back kick, spinning back fist and a right hand and then shoves Larson to the mat and unloads a quick flurry of punches. The damage is starting to mount, and Foster is dominating his opponent. Foster, though, stands and allows Larson back up. When Larson shoots, Foster pops him with a big right hand. Larson drops to his knees and taps out as Foster delivers more shots from above. Very, very impressive performance for Foster. Brian Foster def. Brock Larson via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 3:25.

KENDALL GROVE VS. JAKE ROSHOLT

Round 1

Grove lunges with a couple jabs, but Rosholt side steps them. Grove definitely has the reach advantage in this one. Rosholt shoots, picks up Grove and slams into his corner for instruction from Marc Laimon and the crew. Grove gets to his feet, but Rosholt grabs him from behind and slams him to the mat once and then twice. Grove, though, stands again as Rosholt slips from his opponent's back to side. Grove puts his back into the cage and then reverses the position to put Rosholt into the fence. Groves trips him to the mat and works from inside full guard. Rosholt pulls him close. The pace slows as Grove can do little with his top position. Rosholt gets back to his feet and then lands a knee to the body, left and then a leaping knee to the body. Rosholt looks to take the fight to the mat and drags Grove down. Rosholt frees a leg but can't get to side control with the fence blocking his path. However, he moves into mount, but Grove kicks off the fence. He's forces to give up his back before rolling over. Grove, though, continues jockeying for position and uses his long limbs to sink in a triangle choke and armbar and then possibly into an omoplata. He favors the triangle choke, though, and forces the tapout with the quick submission. Kendall Grove def. Jake Rosholt via submission (triangle choke) - Round 1, 3:59.

MARCUS DAVIS VS. BEN SAUNDERS

Round 1

A touch of gloves gets us started. Saunders misses high with a kick that Davis ducks under. Saunders gets the clinch and lands a knee to the body. Davis pushes him into the cage. Saunders delivers knees to the inside thigh, and Davis retreats for the center of the cage. Saunders clinches and delivers knees to the body from the clinch. Davis pushes him back into the cage. The fighters trade short punches before Saunders reverses position for more knees. Back to the center of the cage, Davis lands a couple punches, but Saunders connects on more knees and pushes Davis into the cage. Davis has a cut on his forehead. The welterweights jockey for position before breaking to restart. After trading kicks, Saunders lands a nice right. Davis lands a few punches, but Saunders again gets the clinch and drops Davis with two of those dangerous knees. He follows with a couple quick punches, but Davis is out cold. Ben Saunders def. Marcus Davis via knockout (knees) - Round 1, 3:24.

WINNER: Ben Saunders

Davis gets to a stool and is awake. Ringside officials check him out, and he leaves the cage under his own power. He's disappointed but OK. Tough loss for the veteran.

PHIL BARONI VS. AMIR SADOLLAH

Round 1

No touch of the gloves, and Baroni lands a quick right before clinching. He knocks Sadollah off balance with another shot. Sadollah gets to his feet and pushes Baroni into the cage. Baroni reverses and delivers a stream of blows as Sadollah tries to secure the clinch. On the break, Baraoni continues throwing and lands a couple, but Sadollah appears fine. Sadollah pulls Baroni in close and takes the fight to the fence. The fighters trade short punches while jockeying for position. Sadollah with a knee to the midsection. Sadollah eats a few knees to the body but answers with a right. Sadollah with the clinch and delivers knees while Baroni works punches to the side. Baroni with the takedown, and he stands over Sadollah, who pulls him in close. Baroni eventually backs away, and we restart. Sadollah with a front kick that lands before they clinch against the cage again. Baroni tries a guillotine and throws body shots but eats a right from Sadollah. Clinched against the cage again, Sadollah land a nice knee from the clinch. A second misses but the third lands, and Baroni dips for the single leg. Sadollah fights it off and delivers two more knees before the round ends. It's a close round, but MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Sadollah.

Round 2

Baraoni's faced is pretty battered as the second round gets underway. Sadollah immediately unloads a combo, and Baraoni looks wobbly. Sadollah clinches and puts him in the fence and then backs up as Baroni misses on a wild left. Baroni's jawing but eats a shot as blood begins to pour from a cut under his eye. The fighters again clinch, and Sadollah works knees from the clinch. He backs and lands a body kick and then front kick. Baroni answers with an overhand right. Sadollah clinches and pushes the action into the cage. Sadollah lands a couple punches before closing the distance again. Baroni fires off a left-right combo, but Sadollah answers with a combo of his own. Both fighters are bloodied. Sadollah creates distance and then goes high with a kick that Baroni only partially blocks. The welterweights take to the center of the cage. Sadollah has some luck with front kicks. After clinching against the cage again, Sadollah works knees to the body. Some dirty boxing by both before Baroni catches a kick and knocks Sadollah briefly off balance with a soft right. A sloppy exchange in the center of the cage, and we can see the cut from Sadollah's forehead. The fighters clinch against the fence for the final 10 seconds. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Sadollah.

Round 3

The fighters trade in the center of the cage, and Baroni lands a few decent shots followed with a nice uppercut. Sadollah shakes it off and then delivers a barrage of knees from the clinch. Baroni, though, backs him off with a wild flurry that misses. Sadollah closes the distance with more knees, backs off and delivers kicks and then lands a Superman punch. Baroni whiffs with a right and eats a forearm strike and another. Sadollah backs up for a front kick and then a leaping knee to the body as Baroni covers up for it. The fighters trade stiff rights before Sadollah lands a few more kicks and then a solid Superman punch that wobbles Baroni again. Baroni drops his hands and eats more shots and then a left to the belly and right to the hand. Sadollah goes high with a head kick before Baroni answers with a decent straight shot. Sadollah shoves him into the cage and tags him with an elbow, though. Sadollah with an inside leg kick. Baroni wings a desperation right, and Sadollah closes out the round with knees and elbows. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Sadollah, who should take it unanimously.

LUIZ CANE VS. ANTONIO ROGERIO NOGUEIRA

Round 1

Little action early until Cane throw a leg kick and another. Nogueira answers with one of his own. Cane stalks his opponent, who circles around the cage. Nogueira with a nice overhand left and just misses with a second. Nogueira lands two more lefts, and Cane is forced to run away to reset. Nogueira lands another left that wobbles Cane, and another sends Cane down for good. Nogueira follows him to the mat, but Steve Mazzagatti hops in to halt the bout. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira def. Luiz Cane via TKO (punches) - Round 1, 1:56.

PAULO THIAGO VS. JACOB VOLKMANN

Round 1

Thiago testing his reach and just misses with a head kick. Lots of dancing early before Volkmann clinches, land a right and pushes his opponent into the cage. Thiago, though, scores the trip takedown and works from side control. With Volkmann pressed into the fence, Thiago struggles to corral him, and Volkmann gets to his feet. Thiago clinches and wants to take the fight back to the mat, but Volkmann fends him off and presses him into the fence. Thiago, though, scores another crafty takedown and moves into mount. Volkmann uses the cage to try to improve his position, and Volkmann secures half guard from his back. Thiago backs off, we restart standing. Thiago lands a low, but Volkmann shoots for the takedown. Thiago fends it off, and the fighters stalemate against the cage. Volkmann backs off, and the boo birds come out before Thiago lands a couple shots and then drops Volkmann with a big right just as the horn sounds. Volkmann looks out cold but immediately pops to his feet, and apparently the fight is going on. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Thiago.

Round 2

Thiago catches a kick and then sweeps Volkmann's other leg out from under him. Thiago doesn't follow him to the mat, and after getting back to his feet, Volkmann gets underhooks and scores his own takedown. Thiago is pressed against the cage and eats some punches as he tries to get back to his feet. While in the kneeling position, Volkmann delivers more shoots and looks briefly like he's going to take his opponent's back. Thiago, though, gets back to his feet, but Volkmann's on his like Velcro and works more dirty boxing. The ref warns the fighters to get busy, and the boo birds come out. Volkmann creates distance and throws some punches before Thiago tries a leaping knee from close range. It doesn't work, and the fight hits the mat. Thiago's on his knees again, and Volkmann tries to take his back. Instead, Thiago reverses, takes top position and then dives in with a right. Hammerfists from Thiago. Volkmann ties him up initially, but Thiago postures up and rains down a big right that connects. Volkmann clings to Thiago to wait out the round. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Thiago, but it's a close one.

Round 3

The fighters trade sloppy shots, and Thiago knocks Volkmann off balance with one. Thiago stands over him and tries to dive in with a big right, but Volkmann blocks it. Thiago takes side control and moves into the north-south position, can't get the choke, and goes back to the side. Volkmann corrals him in a near piledriver before Thiago escapes back to his feet. Volkmann fakes a shot and shoots, but Thiago defends and tosses Volkmann to his back. The crowd boos at the exhausted effort. Thiago, though, follows him to the mat, and Volkmann uses the opportunity to take the top position and nearly the back. Volkmann gets the crucifix position and delivers a couple quick elbows to the head before Thiago breaks free. With Volkmann on his back, Thiago tries to dive in with a right but his opponent deflects it. Volkmann works a D'Arce, but Thiago escapes and drops elbows from the top position before the round comes to a close. MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Volkmann, though it's another close one. Paulo Thiago def. Jacob Volkmann via unanimous decision (29-28, 30- 27, 30-27).

ANTHONY JOHNSON VS. JOSH KOSCHECK

Round 1

The night's co-headliner is underway. Johnson paws a jab and throws a soft leg kick. Koscheck lands a right that seems to have stunned Johnson briefly. Johnson with an inside leg kick. Johnson misses with the head kick. Koscheck whiffs with a big right but lands the leg kick. The fighters both partially connect on big shots and reset. Johnson again goes after the legs. Koscheck tries to answer but misses. Johnson clips Koscheck with a shot, but he recovers and tries a trip takedown. Koscheck clinches, and the fighters wrestle for position. On the break, Johnson uncorks a knee to the head, but Koscheck is down, and a timeout is called. Koscheck complains of a possible eye injury, though a replay seems to show the knee hitting his arm, and the crowd boos. Another angle, though, shows the knee likely slipped under the arm. Johnson sees the replay and complains. Johnson is deducted a point for the blow. Sitting cageside, we can hear Koscheck tell the ref he can't see, and the doctor is called in. The doc and ref have a lengthy conversation, and the fight goes on to the delight of the fans. Koscheck checks a head kick and whiffs on a couple rights. Johnson again throws leg kicks and pushes Koscheck back with a front kick. Koscheck shoots, Johnson defends, but Koscheck pushes him into the cage and frantically looks for the takedown. He finally gets it after a scramble and takes Johnson's back. Johnson kneels so Koscheck can't get his hooks in, but Koscheck pulls him back and nearly gets it. Johnson, though, scrambles and escapes as the horn sounds. MMAjunkie.com scores a close round for Johnson, 10-9, but with the point deduction, it's a 9-9 round.

Round 2

Johnson works the jab early and then goes low with a kick. A jab-low kick combo works twice for Johnson, and Johnson now complains of an eyepoke, and the fight is halted. A quick restart later, and the fighters trade jabs. Both swing wildly, and an open-hand shot from Koscheck pokes Johnson deep in the eye. Time is called again. A quick restart again, and Johnson quickly works the jab. Koscheck blocks a head kick, and the fighters trade wildly in the center of the cage. Nothing much lands, and Koscheck shoots and gets the takedown. Some elbows land, and Koscheck moves into half guard. Johnson initially ties him up, but Koscheck drops more short elbows to the head. Koscheck continues with the effective strikes as Johnson's pressed into the cage. Johnson's bleeding from the nose and gives up his back while trying to get to his feet. Koscheck tries to get in his hooks, but Johnson remains on his side and defends. Koscheck gets in the hooks and locks in the rear-naked choke, and Johnson is forced to tap out seconds later. Josh Koscheck def. Anthony Johnson via submission (rear-naked choke) - Round 2, 4:27.

WINNER: Josh Koscheck

Josh Koscheck calls out Dan Hardy, who's cageside, and says he's really the No. 1 contender. Hardy laughs it off.

FORREST GRIFFIN VS. TITO ORTIZ

Round 1

Touch of gloves gets us started. Ortiz charges in but can't secure his opponent and backs off. Lots of dancing and little landing for distance. Ortiz moves in and lands a body shot. Griffin patient in the center of the cage and laughs off a shot to the groin. Ortiz shoots, grabs the ankles, and puts Griffin on his back. Ortiz postures up and delivers some patented ground and pound before Griffin ties him up. Ortiz moves into half guard as Griffin grabs an arm and uses it to get to his feet. Ortiz grabs a leg and pushes Griffin back into the cage. Griffin reverses and puts Ortiz against the fence and delivers some knees. The fighters break, and we restart in the center of the cage. Griffin lands a right during a collision. Ortiz already looks a bit gassed. Griffin counters with a right and then fends off a takedown. The fighters trade jabs. Griffin mixes in jabs and inside leg kicks. Griffin is knocked off balance during a clash in the center of the cage but lands a knee to the body before the round ends. MMAjunkie.com scores a close first round for Ortiz, 10-9.

Round 2

Both fighters are breathing heavily as the second round begins. Both miss with wide rights. Ortiz with a nice left, and Griffin staggers back. Ortiz shoots and puts him on his back. Ortiz works from full guard and drops some elbows that connect. More punches from Ortiz. Griffin pulls him close, and Ortiz moves to half guard. Griffin, though, escapes once again when Ortiz tries to improve his position. Back to the center of the cage. Ortiz telegraphs a takedown that Griffin sniffs out. A front kick from Griffin knocks out Ortiz mouthpiece, and we have a quick break while it's washed. Ortiz scores another takedown, one that Griffin should have seen. Griffin works the butterfly guard but goes back to full as Ortiz lands a nice elbow and then another. Griffin is bleeding near his left eye. Griffin pulls Ortiz close once again, but Ortiz scores a couple elbows that cut open Griffin badly. Griffin reverses and takes top position, and the crowd comes alive. Griffin throws a burst of short elbows, but they don't seem to have a much on them. MMAjunkie.comm scores it 10-9 for Ortiz.

Round 3

Griffin works with a sense of urgency and throws kicks and punches form a variety of angles. Griffin with a couple low kicks that score and another. Griffin with a nice right-left combo that backs up Ortiz. Ortiz has slowed a bit, and Griffin gets throw some more shots. A right-left combo lands for Griffin. Griffin goes high and partially connects on a kick to the head. Ortiz eats another kick but is still standing. Griffin keeps swinging but can't get the knockout or knockdown he needs. Ortiz finally answers back as the round comes to a close. A huge embrace from both fighters. MMAjunkie.com scores a clear round for Griffin, 10-9. Forrest Griffin def.
